"Very good"

submission: - reflection -
date: August 27, 2008

Aside from the problems you have pointed out, this is a very good song. You are getting better, friend, I do hope you'll keep p the good work. Take the time to step back and watch the world, how everything interacts with each other, take the time to notice the little things, like that random flower growing in the middle of the sidewalk, or watching the sunrise/sunset. It'll come to you in the most subtle package at the right time.

Best of Luck, friend, and may your music move the hearts of millions.

Author's Response:

thank you for listening (to) and reviewing my song again :)
Apparantly you're the only one who will ever review something I've uploaded :p
i'm glad you like it.. I'm still tuning and fixing it a bit, so it should turn out nicely..
You're right you know, I do love the simple and subtle things in an average day, I do notice a lonly flower in an ocean of concrete.

Thank you for the review mate.. How're you doing btw?

(NUB)I would have hated myself

"I think about things like this..."

date: August 27, 2008

Every so often, I take the time to sit back and reflect on who I have become, and there is alot that I am both proud of and ashamed of, and what I strive for. When I was younger, I used to idolize my Biological father, the kind of love a son would naturally have towards his father, but now, I am ashamed to even look like the man. (Spittin' Image, apparently). I guess that when you learn that your father has been lying to you for most of your life, you begin to see who he really is.

I was always the angry child in my younger years, I was very short (5'10 now), the quiet kid, the one who had no friends and was the constant target of those who were taller than me. Now, I actually have friends, and I am more than capable of holding my own in a fight. I have progressed to the point where I fear very little, and to the point where I still hold a personal vendetta against a kid who made my life a living HELL.

This also causes me to think about my choice of joining the Army, knowing that the job I plan to take could very well end with my death, but I also know that it will bring me to my goal of restoring my Family honor, in life or death.

My main goal in life is to hear my Step-Father (Who I consider my Father) say that he is proud of me, and what I have become. Never, in all of my childhood, upto this exact moment, have I EVER heard him say that. In all those 15 years...never.

I know I'm ranting, but this song effects me in such a powerful way, that I needed to tell you. I hope you understand.

Ambient Test

"Pretty good for your fist time"

submission: Ambient Test
date: June 15, 2008

People are going to comment on the length, but considering that this is a test, they might not give you too much trouble. Pretty good, most likely better than anything I could do. Just keep practicing untill you are comfortable, and don't rush these things.

Thank you ^^
Well I do hope they notice that this is a test.. I'm not really satisfied with it yet, but I'll fix it a bit.
You've been a great motivation to me, Silverguard.. thank you

"Bloody Brilliant..."

Even though the pipes are clearly artificial, it is still good.
And, The-Great-One, the bagpipes that you hear are most likely Scottish Highland Bagpipes. Thought I should point that out.

I was raised on this type of music, and you did a good job with it. Bein' a Texan, I know my country music, and this is one of the best I have heard on Newgrounds.

Evil-Dog - The Last Stand

"Nice"

date: May 21, 2008

I can see this as a last stand between several things like zombies(Of course), Invaders of another nationality(e.g. Russia, N. Korea), or aliens. The beat is also rather lively, fits into the scenario.

In One Last Glance

"Touching..."

submission: In One Last Glance
date: May 11, 2008

It is not very often that I hear a song made on-the-spot of such proportions. I am deeply impressed. As several others have said, the piano is a beautiful instrument, and the ammount of skill it takes to successfully play the piano is something to be admired. The best songs often come straight from the heart, and this is no exception. Beautifully done, and I am looking forward to more works of musical art that you may provide in the future.

Best of luck.

This could sum-up the military members of my family line (Since the Revoloution). I'll try to remember this in the next few years. Once again, you have done an extraordinary job with your music.
